Student, 20, who used the pageant to help raise money for the hospice where her sister, 12, died from a brain tumour takes home the crown
A twenty-year-old psychology student took home the Miss England 2016 crown at the glittering final after months of hard work by all the girls, who had each been busy doing charity work and preparing for the climax of the competition.
Elizabeth Grant, the current Miss Preston, from Ribbleton, was crowned the overall winner in the glitzy event and will now go on to represent the country at the Miss World competition in Washington, DC, in December.
The student, who was scouted whilst out shopping, will compete to win the £76,000 prize and the prestigious title.
