"Meek Mill beats Drake to win Billboard's Top Rap Album in 2016"

Meek Mill's album, Dreams Worth More Than Money, took home the Top Rap Album of the Year award at the 2016 Billboard Music Awards some hours ago, beating out Kendrick Lamar’s To Pimp a Butterfly, Dr. Dre’s Compton, Drake and Future’s What a Time to Be Alive and Drake’s If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late.

Billboard Music Awards differ from other award ceremonies in that they aren’t decided by a panel or a group of judges, but instead, year-end chart performance, based on key fan interactions with music, including album and digital songs sales, radio airplay, streaming, touring and social interactions.
